[And, this is a very non-canon Shinichi, to be seen floating cross-legged with his eyes shut in the middle of the lobby. If you've seen the Star Wars prequels, you might recognise the brown Jedi robes and leather tunic as being padawan wear, and most notably for his rank, the braid that hung down over his shoulder onto his front.
After just a moment hovering there, he opens his eyes with a snap and falls to the floor with a rather undignified thump. He's starting to look worried.]
Stars, it's as though everyone just... disappeared. [Cue pacing around, not really taking anything in, but he's still talking to uh, himself. Or the Force. Take your pick. You might also be able to recognise the familiar-looking metal cylinder bumping against his leg.] Of course, I didn't feel them die, they simply vanished, not... and aside from that, I can feel a whole load of people here, too...
(ooc: This is a free verse, so feel free to play around in the sandbox - I'm still testing it out, and I what I write up here and in the character journal are mostly all I've got on it. Have fun~)

Ironic that the person most obviously a spirit would also be the first person -- bar Ran -- that Conan's seen dressed anything like a normal person. He pauses at the bottom of the stairs, wondering whether to approach the other -- who looks strangely familiar in a way he can't place yet -- or sneak away. Before he can make a decision, his stomach makes one for him -- by growling loudly.]
no subject
Hungry are you, youngling? I'm afraid I don't know where they keep the food here, but maybe we should try and find it together, hm?
[...totally treating Conan as a real little kid. He doesn't know any better.]
no subject
[The voice sounds different somehow -- though how he knows it sounds different is something that Conan is trying not to think about. Food on the other hand ...]
Is that really all right?
no subject
He smiles again, and straightens.]
I don't feel anything Dark in here, and it would be poor hosts indeed who wouldn't let a hungry child find something to eat. And I'll speak in your defence if they do.
[Even as just a padawan, he was respected well enough by most people that just his word would be enough.]
no subject
Don't trouble yourself on my part. I do not fear spirits; only their tricks. If there is trouble, I will share in it.
no subject
You're only a child. I may only be a padawan, but I know how to deal with trouble. [He pats his 'saber with a hopefully reassuring smile on his face.]

[Pause.] What do you mean by force?

Why would anyone freak out about a Jedi using the Force? The Jedi are the peace keepers of the galaxy. [A hand rises to his neck, a sign of very slight embarrassment.] Besides, I was only meditating. And not very well...
no subject
Well, for a start I don't know what you mean by Jedi or Force and for another ... anyone might think you were flying. [The last word sounds distinctly wistful.]
no subject
[A smile as he shakes his head.] No, no flying without something to pilot. We can hover, and jump further and higher than those without access to the Force, but no flying, I'm afraid.
no subject
... oh.
[It takes her a moment to shake it off.]
You called me 'Miss' before. Does that mean I need to introduce myself?
no subject
[Waiting patiently for her to reply. He thinks he knows her, but if she didn't know who he was, or even about Jedi or the Force, then... he might not.
That twinge of disappointment just now at the thought will go ignored.]

Kudo-san?

[She keeps her posture non-threatening, eyeing the lightsaber with interest. It just looks like an empty canister, but the way his hand went to it...]
I'm Nakamori Aoko.
no subject
I apologise. It is good to meet you then, miss. I am Jedi Padawan Shinichi Kudo... although it seems that you already know of me.
no subject
Jedi... that sounds familiar. [she shrugs it off and bows in return] It's nice to meet you, Kudo-san. Did you just get here?
no subject
I certainly appear to not be where I was, yes.
no subject
That's because we're in a Mansion between dimensions that brings in different versions of us and people we know from different worlds.
[Of course, that doesn't stop her from stating it completely matter-of-factly]
no subject
...Certainly matches up with what I've been able to sense so far. So I take it that you know a version of me in a... different world?
[Planets, he's used to. Worlds, as in 'different dimensions and parallel timelines', not so much. But he can feel some of the various people around the place, and most of them feel familiar.]

Buh, that's what the mun gets for tagging hurriedly at lunch.
Don't worry- I've made worse muck-ups.
I love your icons, btw. Very good use of tracing.
Thank you!
Aaand I fail at tagging!
