[And, this is a very non-canon Shinichi, to be seen floating cross-legged with his eyes shut in the middle of the lobby. If you've seen the Star Wars prequels, you might recognise the brown Jedi robes and leather tunic as being padawan wear, and most notably for his rank, the braid that hung down over his shoulder onto his front.
After just a moment hovering there, he opens his eyes with a snap and falls to the floor with a rather undignified thump. He's starting to look worried.]
Stars, it's as though everyone just... disappeared. [Cue pacing around, not really taking anything in, but he's still talking to uh, himself. Or the Force. Take your pick. You might also be able to recognise the familiar-looking metal cylinder bumping against his leg.] Of course, I didn't feel them die, they simply vanished, not... and aside from that, I can feel a whole load of people here, too...
(ooc: This is a free verse, so feel free to play around in the sandbox - I'm still testing it out, and I what I write up here and in the character journal are mostly all I've got on it. Have fun~)

I certainly appear to not be where I was, yes.

That's because we're in a Mansion between dimensions that brings in different versions of us and people we know from different worlds.
[Of course, that doesn't stop her from stating it completely matter-of-factly]

...Certainly matches up with what I've been able to sense so far. So I take it that you know a version of me in a... different world?
[Planets, he's used to. Worlds, as in 'different dimensions and parallel timelines', not so much. But he can feel some of the various people around the place, and most of them feel familiar.]

[sliiiight hesitation there on that last bit]

Buh, that's what the mun gets for tagging hurriedly at lunch.
[there's that slight hesitation again. It isn't a lie, but it definitely isn't the whole truth, either]
Don't worry- I've made worse muck-ups.
[He's curious, and interested, and not the least bit threatening. But he's also able to tell that she's not telling the complete truth.]
I love your icons, btw. Very good use of tracing.
[also true, if again not the whole truth]
Thank you!
Aaand I fail at tagging!
[and whoops, she's being rude]
So you're a... "padawan"? What do you do?
