[Even the most patient of odd children gets hungry eventually, and Conan has given up his vigil outside Ran's door to go in search of food. Coming down the stairs quietly he is treated to a sight strange by anyone's standards.

Ironic that the person most obviously a spirit would also be the first person -- bar Ran -- that Conan's seen dressed anything like a normal person. He pauses at the bottom of the stairs, wondering whether to approach the other -- who looks strangely familiar in a way he can't place yet -- or sneak away.
