"Ahoko."

"It's not my fault! You were the one who kept it a secret. How was I supposed to know it was anything, but a pretty rock?!"

"Maybe the fact that I was keeping it a secret?"

"...I didn't know you were Kaitou Kid until the Pandora heist. I just thought you were just some show off of a thief, Bakaito."

"How many show off thieves were there?"

"Kaitou Kid prided himself on being more unique, but still acted like a show off of a thief," Aoko snapped. "Besides, if it wasn't Aoko, it could have easily been someone else, and I had no reason to not try and stop you."

"Except the fact that the only reason I lied to you about KID was to keep you out of danger?"

"Which makes your argument void because you WERE keeping it a secret, so how could I know anything? All I knew was you were keeping dad busy and away from home and you stole things while laughing like a manic."

"By not sticking your nose where it didn't belong! You should have stayed out of it."

"My dad was involved! It wasn't that weird I got involved!" Aoko snapped. "It's so stupid, that excuse! Don't tell me to protect me. That just means I don't realize when I'm in danger!"

"And you couldn't just trust me."

Aoko gave him a flat look. "Oh yes. I majorly didn't trust Kaito in the fact I went after Kaitou Kid when I CLEARLY should have known it was him without knowing it was him since he never told me. How duppy of me," Aoko said. The sarcastic was very evident. As well as slang that was probably not from Kaito's time.

Not that he notices. She's Aoko and she did something stupid and every bad thing he never wanted to happen, did happen.

"You shouldn't have gone after KID."

"But what does that have to do with not trusting you? It's not like you never told me not to. At least...I'm PRETTY sure you didn't..." Aoko said, frowning. She didn't remember anything like that. She remembered him fanboying Kid. Nothing about telling her not to go.

Silence. Annoyed, childish, pouting silence.

Aoko glared at him. And then after a minute, sighed. "I'm alive, Bakaito," she said. "And as boring immortality can be, at least we're not alone. Kaito's there. So are Conan-kun and Haibara-chan. And that Vermouth lady, but she's kind of unsettling..."

"How'd Conan and Ai-chan get involved in immortality?"

"That drug that shrunk them apparently made them seven forever."

"If I'm stuck this size for the rest of eternity, they had better start letting me have coffee. Or chocolate." Turning his full attention to Aoko, and starting in on a little rant. "Did you know they won't even let me have chocolate? Even Conan says I shouldn't have any. It's not like I get that hyped up on sugar!"

"I think if you grow in the next two years, it means you're safe. It doesn't seem to be a constant. Especially since I saw some tall Conan-kun's," Aoko said.

"You don't need sugar to be hyped up, but denying Kaito chocolate all the time...it does seem kind of like kicking a puppy...."

"Well, that's good to know."

And as much as he resents the puppy comment, he cranks up the little-kid charm. "I know. But they no."

"If not, my Haibara-chan is still in science, so she might be able to make a cure if she has new data to work with?" Aoko offered with a smile. Well, she had expressed an interest as such.

Aoko blinked. "You could just ask instead of trying to charm it out of Aoko."

Abject. Horror. "Has Ai-chan ever run tests on you?"

A shrug, "I wasn't asking for any, but if you have some..."

That smile is FAR too innocent on Aoko's face. "No, but how can could it be." Clearly, she knows how Ai can be.

"Tell Aoko your real name and I will."
