There is, in a hallway, a small child. He looks to be about seven years old. He looks to be a Kaito. He also looks rather confused and lost and startled.

He isn't going to introduce himself as Kuroba Kaito though, and he isn't going to be performing any magic tricks for you.

Bingo. "If Aoko wasn't worried, you'd have to be calling her and writing to her a lot. Which isn't the best thing to do while hiding. So...she'd have to think there was nothing to worry about..."

And there was a glare. "Do you know how STUPID THAT IS?!"

"It involved experimental poisons, missed plane rides, and terrorist attacks."

Aoko thought on that. "You were supposed to be on a plane that was hit by a terrorist attack, but got Aptoxin'd instead?"

A slightly mocking grin. "Maybe Aoko isn't such an ahou after all!"

"Baka," Aoko said. "Stranger things have happened. Or has happened. I think Kaito is dead after hearing he's in a horrible accident. Then i remember, no he's not. Then we have to move again."

"Exactly my point! Aoko doesn't have that comfort. She thinks you're DEAD. Do you KNOW what that would do to Aoko?!"

"Bakaito!" Aoko snapped angrily, glaring at him. "Aoko would rather be in danger than to think you're dead!"

"And I'd rather she think I was dead than for her to actually be dead."

"You're not that good of an actress."

There's not even annoyance in his tone, just calm distance.
