[Today, the kitchen/dining area is occupied by a different flavor of Kaito, who has five cards strewn out in a line on the table before him, each one face down. He's reaching out and flipping them over to reveal the faces in random order, before he turns them over again.

Ace of spades, queen of hearts, four of diamonds, ten of clubs, two of hearts, and back to the ace which has mysteriously been transformed to a king of diamonds.

He continues this random pattern for a while, the five cards on the table changing their faces each time he flips them over.

Until he stops suddenly and lifts a card up to frown at it]

... damn it, this wasn't supposed to be a Jack, it was supposed to be another ace.

[he sighs and mumbles to himself as he collects the five cards and produces the rest of the deck from (seemingly) nowhere to shuffle it]

Might as well try again.

[Even the best magicians need practice]

Oh. [A pause and then a shrug.] I guess I can see that.

[a nod]

Exactly. [and he leans forward again and continues to shuffle]

[A pause.]

I wouldn't be so willing to tell people you're Pandora. Just for your own safety. Just because there's none now from that Organization doesn't mean their won't be.

I don't usually tell people I'm an art spirit, either. You're the only one outside of my family who knows.

[more shuffling]

So you don't have to worry about that.

Even if it's an alternate of me. [He glanced towards the door.] So far, people have said only two members of the Black Organizaiton have been spotted. But there are more than that who have...blood on their hands.

So it stands to reason, there are worlds where the 'good guys' aren't so good.

[a shrug]

Yeah, it does, but like I said, I'm not usually this forthcoming with the information. The only reason you know is because you sensed it.

They're not called the Black Organization in my world, either. I've never even heard of them, so how do we know they're the same?

[Nods.] Good to know someone has to call you on it.

They might not be the same, but it does seem the Black Organization is a common name. So it stands to reason they're the ones likely to be pulled, but yours can be pulled too.

Obviously, I don't have to tell you to keep it a secret.

Hn. I'll keep that in mind. [suddenly a cheerful grin] In the meantime, fancy a game of poker? [he lifts up the deck of cards, which he has palmed in his hand]

[A smirk.] Obviously.

[Studies the cards.] ...regular poker, or the poker where I win if I can pinpoint how exactly you're cheating?

[grin]

What kind of poker do you think I'm talking about~?

[Smirks.] Just so you know, if you start using real magic, I'm allowed to use it too. Go ahead and deal.

[he starts dealing]

Oi oi, this is about sleight-of-hand practice, not magic practice.

Just making sure you know. [And watching his hands as he deals.]

[he seems to deal fairly, five cards each]

Hope you don't mind five-card draw.

That's fine. [He's still watching, but it's quite relaxed for him. After so many times in being totally decimated by Kaito in poker, the 'figure out how he cheats' version of poker became the norm.]

[he discards two cards, picking up two others from the deck. Watching closely, Tantei-kun?]

[Oh, very closely, but even then, it can be difficult. Being Kid and all. He puts down three cards, drawing three from the deck.]

[Luckily for Kaito, his hand is good enough he didn't have to use a sleight this round] Ready?

Hmmm....yeah. [He never did have very strong luck, so he doesn't have that good of a hand.]

[he drops four tens-- and an Ace high]

[Conan puts down three nines with a five and a seven.] No trick that time?

I don't know. Was there? [sorry, Conan, he's not going to be forthcoming about that. He gathers their cards and discards them, giving the deck to Conan to deal]

I don't believe there was. [Shuffling the cards and dealing out the cards before setting down the deck.]

[takes his cards, discards three, and doesn't answer.

-- also there might have been a sleight there]

[His eyes narrow a bit as he discards one card and draws another.]
