[Event] Whatever you do, don't high-five
Your hands look normal, feel normal, and even smell normal. There's nothing out of the ordinary... Except when you touch something (or someone) else~
You'll start leaving handprints, fingerprints, streaks of colour along the walls, furniture, and along other people's skin. There's a different colour for every different person, and who knows what happens when you high-five?
Be imaginative!
[Here is a colour generator~ Simply click 'Random Background' for your pup's colour, and then fill in this handy-dandy html so other people know what colour you've got!]
Filled code example:
Kaitou_1412 leaves fingerprints of this <b><font color="#D76498">color</font></b>.
Also, our apologies for the lateness of this event! There has been extreme RL busy-ness to contend with.

"... had any near-death experiences lately?"

Ran decides to test of theory of 'the wall is doing it' and starts looking around for something not-wall to try painting on. There's a table a little further down, and he heads in that direction, gleefully trailing his fingers in angular criss-crossing patterns of green as he goes.
Then something occurs to him, and he turns his head to call back over his shoulder to his friend. "Hey, you're feeling okay, right? You aren't burned out again or anything, are you?"
He does indeed remember what was wrong the last time Shinichi was invisible for a prolonged period of time.

A second line appears on the wall, trailing after Ran's. "The occasion just seemed to call for not being seen."

Ran stops and turns to look at Shinichi in surprise, suddenly feeling a bit trepidatious. It's been easy enough for him to deal with this Shinichi -- sure, he's a ghost, but he still looks and acts almost exactly like his best friend. And yes, the fact that he's dead still makes him a little queasy to think on... but his Shinichi is alive and well back home.
He's not sure how he would have dealt with meeting the ghost if that wasn't the case. And he isn't sure how the other Ran is doing it either. Especially since he knows exactly how this Shinichi feels about her (weird as it was and while it's given him a lot of insight on the situation he really isn't sure he'd want to go through that again).
But whatever life is like for this Shinichi's Ran, apparently the meeting went... okay, at least, if Shinichi's so cheerful.
"What happened?"
no subject
He's still invisible, but the marks appearing on the wall demonstrate that Shinichi has both paused and is not looking at Ran. A lopsided semi-circle becomes a smiling mouth with straight lines for teeth, two dots for eyes, and then the whole thing is contained in an outline of a stereotypical sheet-type ghost -- the end result is looks like a primary school kid's idea of a ghost with a slightly manic grin. "Nothing happened. We just had dinner together is all."

"So she's gotten used to this place already? When did she show up?" he asks, following along behind Shinichi. It feels incredibly strange to be asking after, well, himself like this, but he's curious.

"Two weeks?"
But that is a surprise.
"Wonder why I haven't run into her yet?" he wonders aloud, pausing as his fingers trail over the hall table as they pass it, leaving streaks of green in his wake. Guess it isn't just the wall after all.

...But he couldn't help being a little worried about his other self. "Who else has she met?"

And is kind of cute. But he's keeping that part to himself. He can barely even admit it to himself as it is.
Let's see, how else can he describe Shinichi to Shinichi...?
"She knows Haibara and everyone, and she never got shrunk," he continued, thoughtfully. "She doesn't have a Conan, either. Plus she acts kind of like your mom sometimes."
And then he grinned, wickedly.
"And she's got a crush on Hattori."
......That was okay to say, right? It's not like he's telling anyone other than Shinichi. Who... is Minori. Kind of.
Except not really.
no subject
Shinichi's reaction was everything Ran could have hoped for. "Hattori? Really? Detective from Osaka? That Hattori?"
no subject
The victory was somewhat marred, however, by his distraction by the other thing Shinichi had said. "There's another world where you... died?" That was an unsettling thought. "Which Hakuba?"
no subject
"Right." Shinichi seized on Ran's question eagerly. "Hakuba from 1412's world. I've been researching."
no subject
"Aren't you Conan in that world?" he asked, incredulous. They'd been talking about it the other day, how 1412 had spoken of his 'murdering chibi-chan'. Surely that meant that it had to be Shinichi; Ran couldn't imagine one of the 'real' Conans pulling something like that off, and Shinichi had seemed to be of the same opinion. "But doesn't that mean..."
If Shinichi was definitely 'dead' on that world, that meant that not only was that Conan an actor, which would probably make him even harder to spot, but he had very convincingly faked his death -- or, Ran realizes with a chill, had someone killed in his place.

no subject
That was an understatement -- Ran was practically seeing red at the thought of what that Conan must have put his friends through by faking his death. What did the Ran from that world do? Or was he/she just as corrupt as the rest of them?
An evil version of himself. Ran couldn't help but feel a little sick at the idea. His karate was very powerful, and if another Ran had that ability and no scruples about using it on people...
no subject
"I -- haven't said anything to that Hakuba yet. He's -- there's something odd about him too. I don't know what it is yet. You should meet him, Ran."
