[for pansbox and police_daughter~]
After the incident with Kaito - stupid boy with a stupid name - 1412 was in the infirmary, but only because it was convenient. He would rather have holed up in a bedroom and let himself heal, but he kept bleeding everywhere. So he'd locked the door and made do.
His jacket and cape were off, lying bloody and torn on the floor, shirt following after and draped over the end of a counter. The assassin himself sat a little further on from the shirt, a few rolls of bandages next to him. He was slowly winding a half-used roll around and over the gashes on his chest, a constant litany of muttering under his breath as he worked.
"-stupid boy, shouldn't... Why did he...? Idiot! Mine mine, how dare he? ...shouldn't have done that, oh no, shouldn't, gonna make him paaaay~ Idiot, idiot, idiot stupid Kaito person-"

His gaze drifted across to the blood on the counter, the droplets trailing across the floor, the bloody tie, shirt, jacket and gloves - all recognisably Kid's - and he grinned, a brief flash of teeth.
"Oh no, he's hurt~" he fluted in a female voice, then dropped back down to his own clipped tones, perfectly willing to leave now. Poor whoever found it. Poor whoever thought there was somebody dead.
"Let's leave."

"What do you want to eat?" she asked, trying to distract... she wasn't sure who.
no subject
Blech. He just wanted to find a rooftop and jump off of it. But he was injured. 1412 frowned, making an unhappy noise in the back of his throat. Too many people, and he didn't want to eat. Stupid Kaito-person. Stupid Little Miss Aoko.
They should just leave him alone.

Thankfully, there were bedrooms on the first floor just down the hall from the infirmary. He had a feeling if the tried to drag the injured assassin up the stairs, bad things would probably happen.

Helping Kaito help 1412 down the hall, she picked the first suitable bedroom, and -- wary of any detectives who might come walking in at any moment -- shoved the door open with her shoulder. The room was empty and dim, curtains drawn, and didn't look like it had been disturbed by anyone in a while.
Perfect.

1412 made an odd face at the room, trying to peer behind the door. He wasn't lying down in a room he didn't know was safe.
no subject
He helped 1412 into the room, nodding at the bed and indicating to Aoko that they should lay him down.
"You think we should lock the door?"
no subject
She didn't want him to think they were locking him in, after all.
no subject
"Should know better," he hissed.
No, he did not want the door locked. Not at all, and the stupid Kaito should have known that. Did have, because he was trying to trap him, wasn't he?
He growled, edging away from Kaito, tyring to move towards the door. Couldn't trust him.
no subject
"Oi oi, I don't want to trap you in here!" Kaito said, "If the door's locked, then no one out there could get in here!"
Of course, he knew perfectly well that that fact wasn't necessarily true. He could pick locks, after all. Another Kaito would be able to do the same.

Except dammit, arguing wasn't getting them anywhere, either. Her hold slackening ever-so-slightly, Aoko let her expression turn pleading. "Please."
no subject
possiblyalmost certainly injuring them in the process. He snarled, tugging himself away again."Anyone tries to hurt me ends up dead," he said, wrenching his arm out of Aoko's grip and stumbling as he managed it, nearly sinking to his knees before he stabilised himself.
no subject
He was reaching out to catch 1412, hoping to catch him before he made it to the door, "You idiot, stop overexerting yourself!"
-- he tried not to think about the fact that Aoko had said practically the exact same thing to him a few weeks earlier.
no subject
"Okay, we won't lock the door if you don't want us to! Just stay here so we can get you some food!"
no subject
1412's words were a low, dangerous growl, expression furious. He hated being weak, and not-strong and it was their fault he wouldn't be like this if they hadn't interrupted. He wanted Jii who knew what to say and was clever with the bandages, and stayed out of his way after. He couldn't trust them, the stupid Kaito holding on to his little miss so ferociously - never mind that he'd do the name, cling and never let go of what was his his his -
He hissed in frustration. "Hate you."
no subject
There was a beat. A short pause as Kaito glared at 1412. It's not that his words had affected him-- on the contrary, he really didn't care what the assassin thought about him-- but he was just being so. Damn. Belligerent--
He retracted his hands and shoved them into his pockets, briskly brushing towards Aoko and the door.
"Let's just go."
no subject
Aoko looked between the two versions of her best friend, her own expression shifting into one of sheer stubbornness and pique. Stupid, thick-headed, irritating, arrogant, stupid stupid boys-!!
"I'm staying here!!" she declared angrily, planting her feet apart and folding her arms, looking for all the world like you couldn't move her with a bulldozer. She glared at her fiancé. "If you're going to go, then go get him some food from the dining room. Then I'll leave."
Honestly, she just wanted to make sure the assassin wouldn't die of blood loss. Why did they have to make something so simple so difficult?
no subject
1412 didn't care, though. Didn't care if his Aoko left as well. He just didn't like the stupid Kaito, and wasn't going to pay attention to him any longer.
"Go away," he declared, walking over to the wardrobe and looking inside, very pointedly not paying attention the them.
no subject
"Aoko," he said firmly as he reached out and tugged at her arm, "He obviously doesn't want our help. He's bandaged, we've stopped the bleeding as best as we could, there isn't anything else for us to do. C'mon, let's go."
