(no subject)

Yet another Conan has come to the Dressing Room. One who was actually a bit taller than the usual Conan. He looks more like he's eleven. Maybe even twelve.

Brought in kind of at a bad time too.

Which should be obvious to anyone who happens upon him as he stumbled through the hallway as he's clutching at his arm. Which is bleeding. Quite heavily. And that's not accounting for all the smaller cuts, torn clothing, and bruises covering the rest of his body.

"Damn it," he muttered, leaning against a wall. "Hello! Heiji! Kaito! Anyone!" Damn, damn, damn, where was he?! One minute he's running from Snake after escaping narrowly from the 'little surprise' left for Kid in his landing spot, and now he's in some hotel. At least it felt like his arm was only grazed, but he'd need stitches and he really couldn't afford going to a hospital.

If he could find a phone in...wherever here was.

He didn't even recognize this place!

Kaito was quick to do just that, guiding Conan towards the infirmary without another word.

Surprisingly it didn't take as long as he'd thought it would to find it this time, but he'd think about that more later.

"I swear this place is way too convenient." He grumbled to himself after taking Conan over to the couch so he could sit down and going to the medical cabinets to look for stiches, bandages and some disinfectant.

Well, that's an interesting comment, but that can wait. Finding what he was looking for, he headed back to the couch. "Good point. Here."

((Um, He should know all about first aid, but I don't. XD;))

"Heh. Well considering all the weird things I've seen lately, I don't think I'm one to comment on your possible lack of sanity." He replied as he got to work. He could sympathize about the stitches. He hated getting them too, and he'd even had to stitch his own wounds back up more than once, but he was sure Conan would agree it was better than bleeding to death. He'd almost done that too, from far worse injuries.

He figured he'd notice eventually. "That's because I'm pretty sure I'm not the Kaito you know." He answered. "I'd say that's a pretty good description of this place."

Thinking of the dead Shinichi he couldn't help but wince at that. "No I don't think time passes here, apparently a couple of people have gotten sent back before and they said they returned to around the time they left."

He frowned. "If you don't mind my asking, exactly where were you before anyway?"

He was nearly done with the stitches by now. He just needed to tie them off properly.

Kaito whistled, no wonder things went to hell! "I was actually talking about the place you and your Kaito were stuck at for so long, but jeez. I hope your Kid got it."

"And you are such a trouble magnet. How do you keep getting yourself into these messes?" Not that he had room to talk or anything.

That got another wince. "Well you didn't have to be so close to it when it went off!"

Finally done with the arm, he paused to run a hand through his hair. The sleeves of his shirt, being somewhat shorter than the sleeves of his coat don't hide his wrists as well so the old scars that form a circle around them are actually quite visible, but he hasn't noticed yet. Not that that's really important right now.

"Oi oi, my luck isn't that bad..." He said defensively.

He blinked in confusion for a moment before he realized what Conan was referring too.

Shit.

He shifted his hands so they were behind his back on the couch. Not the best way to distract the detective from them, but it was an automatic response. At least he tried to make it look casual. "Er, I don't think I know what you're Tantei-kun..."

How was he supposed to explain this?

[identity profile] stainedmoonlit.livejournal.com 2010-01-28 09:38 am (UTC)(link)
Poker Face! Poker Face!

His smile may have looked a little strained. "These... These are nothing! I, uh, They're nothing you need to worry about!"

And he'd been doing such a good job hiding them. He didn't want to think about it and he really didn't want to explain it. Especially not to Conan. Maybe he should leave he should leave now that Conan was alright...

[identity profile] stainedmoonlit.livejournal.com 2010-01-28 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
That made him relax again and released a breath he didn't know he was holding. It took him a moment but he got his poker face back. "Thanks."

He chose not to answer that.

Instead he glanced over at Conan. He wasn't sure he liked the way the other looked, but he wasn't going to ask after he hadn't pressed the issue of the scars. He should see if he can find a way to cheer him up a bit, but first things first.

"So, I guess you'll want the run down on this place, huh?"

[identity profile] stainedmoonlit.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
Once again, he produced his stack of playing cards and began to shuffle them as he thought. "Well, for one thing, it's not so much the multiverse as alternate versions of the same universe. There's a lot of different versions of the same people here, some more different than others..." His eyes narrowed when he thought about 1412 again, and the dead Shinichi, who was a nice guy, but still something he hoped wasn't very common.

"I haven't met very many other people yet, but so far there's one other version of me, one of Aoko-chan, one of Hakuba and... another you, who's Kudo Shinichi, and a ghost." Well it needed to be said, he was bound to meet that one eventually.

"Oh and then there's 1412, who I haven't met, but have heard plenty about."

[identity profile] stainedmoonlit.livejournal.com 2010-01-29 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
He shook his head. "No. No one even knows what brought us here in the first place. There doesn't seem to be anyone here except the other alternates."

Hey it wasn't so much the weirdness as the fact that the ghost Shinichi was dead, but if he's not going to react to that, fine. Though it does get him another side glance.

His expression darkened at Conan's other question. "No. Not this one anyway." Hakuba said Nakamori-keibu had been chasing him for 20 years. "From my conversation with Hakuba, who's from his world, I'm pretty sure it's a version of me. He's the complete opposite of the Kid though. An asssassin and dangerously psychotic. You're not the only person I've had to drag to the infirmary since I got here. He's already hurt both Aoko-chan and Hakuba and I wouldn't be surprised if he's hurt others." Though 1412 wasn't what bothered him the most about that world. It was everything else he'd gleaned from his talk with that world's Hakuba. He didn't need to talk about that though.
