Yet another Conan has come to the Dressing Room. One who was actually a bit taller than the usual Conan. He looks more like he's eleven. Maybe even twelve.
Brought in kind of at a bad time too.
Which should be obvious to anyone who happens upon him as he stumbled through the hallway as he's clutching at his arm. Which is bleeding. Quite heavily. And that's not accounting for all the smaller cuts, torn clothing, and bruises covering the rest of his body.
"Damn it," he muttered, leaning against a wall. "Hello! Heiji! Kaito! Anyone!" Damn, damn, damn, where was he?! One minute he's running from Snake after escaping narrowly from the 'little surprise' left for Kid in his landing spot, and now he's in some hotel. At least it felt like his arm was only grazed, but he'd need stitches and he really couldn't afford going to a hospital.
If he could find a phone in...wherever here was.
He didn't even recognize this place!

Conan checked the stitch work. "And you know, I only ever started really getting a bunch of scars AFTER I started working with you, so I think it's your luck, not mine."
He looked back at Kaito, eyes drawn to his wrists. "...though I can't say I recognize those."

He blinked in confusion for a moment before he realized what Conan was referring too.
Shit.
He shifted his hands so they were behind his back on the couch. Not the best way to distract the detective from them, but it was an automatic response. At least he tried to make it look casual. "Er, I don't think I know what you're Tantei-kun..."
How was he supposed to explain this?
no subject
His eyes narrowed at that. "You know very well what I'm talking about."
no subject
His smile may have looked a little strained. "These... These are nothing! I, uh, They're nothing you need to worry about!"
And he'd been doing such a good job hiding them. He didn't want to think about it and he really didn't want to explain it. Especially not to Conan. Maybe he should leave he should leave now that Conan was alright...

Before he nodded his head. "All right. I won't pry," he said.
Kaito didn't break his pokerface for much. What he did was personal things. Very, very personal things and he owed the thief too much to press his counterpart.

Now that he'd calmed down, his expression was rather...dulled. Like he wasn't quite all there.

Instead he glanced over at Conan. He wasn't sure he liked the way the other looked, but he wasn't going to ask after he hadn't pressed the issue of the scars. He should see if he can find a way to cheer him up a bit, but first things first.
"So, I guess you'll want the run down on this place, huh?"

"I haven't met very many other people yet, but so far there's one other version of me, one of Aoko-chan, one of Hakuba and... another you, who's Kudo Shinichi, and a ghost." Well it needed to be said, he was bound to meet that one eventually.
"Oh and then there's 1412, who I haven't met, but have heard plenty about."
no subject
No, he wasn't surprised by the ghost. He was more accepting of the weird. Why he wasn't freaked out about this place. Though that might also have to do with the dull look in his eyes in general.
"1412? You don't seem happy....so should I assume that it's not Toichi?"
no subject
Hey it wasn't so much the weirdness as the fact that the ghost Shinichi was dead, but if he's not going to react to that, fine. Though it does get him another side glance.
His expression darkened at Conan's other question. "No. Not this one anyway." Hakuba said Nakamori-keibu had been chasing him for 20 years. "From my conversation with Hakuba, who's from his world, I'm pretty sure it's a version of me. He's the complete opposite of the Kid though. An asssassin and dangerously psychotic. You're not the only person I've had to drag to the infirmary since I got here. He's already hurt both Aoko-chan and Hakuba and I wouldn't be surprised if he's hurt others." Though 1412 wasn't what bothered him the most about that world. It was everything else he'd gleaned from his talk with that world's Hakuba. He didn't need to talk about that though.

This Conan was quite aware alternates died. Ghosts weren't a far stretch from that.
For a moment, Conan's expression is still dull. Then what Kaito said sunk in and his expression...became mad. Very, very mad. "A version of Kaito hurt Aoko?"
I don't have the right icon for how he feels right now.
He's still pretty mad about it too, since even if he doesn't like Aoko the way most Kaitos do she's still the first friend he ever made. Still the strength of Conan's reaction, especially after how apathetic he'd been up until this point surprised him. The surprise actually showed on his face for a moment before he scowled and nodded. "Yeah. I still can't believe it either."
no subject
"For him to do that..." Conan stood up. "I guess I have my goal while I'm here. I won't let him continue to do that!"
And if Kaito doesn't stop him, he's gonna go and try to do it right now. Even though he's still in rather bad shape.
no subject
"You're also not going alone." He'd already been thinking about going after the guy himself, but he thought he needed a bit more info, and weapons, which he'd some how managed to get brought here without, other than his card gun and a single knife, which might be enough, but it might not be. He really would have rather done it alone himself, but he didn't think Conan would let him now.

"I understand that you want to stop him. I want to stop him too, but I don't even know where he is, we don't have enough information on what he's capable of and again you are not in any condition to be going after anyone. Now calm down!"
no subject
"...right. Sorry," He said, pulling off his glasses and rubbing the bridge of his nose. "I...I don't like that thought. You two are so close and she looks so much like..."
He trailed off. No, he couldn't go down that line of thought. Nothing good was that way.
"I need to calm down." He'd run in too many times in the past without thinking and it'd gotten him hurt before. Odd that it was Kaito, KAITOU KID, mister unpredictable, who often got him to act rational.
no subject
Well best not to think about that now.
"Yes, you do." He agreed as he let go.
no subject
Conan nodded, slipping the glasses back on. "Right. I'll rest, but tell me more about this place. Anything else I need to know about?"
