[There is a Kaito standing outside, right in front of the mansion entrance, staring down an angel statue. He has a lead pipe in hand, lifted over his shoulder like a baseball bat, and he is trying very, very hard not to blink.

-- either he has gone crazy, or something really, really weird is going on.

[Ran takes the opportunity to look away, glancing at Kaito for the first time -- and staring. She didn't notice at first what with the strange clothing, but the resemblance--]

[that takes him off guard enough for him to tear his own gaze away from the statue and give her a bewildered look] Shi--

[and then he realizes last minute what he did and snaps his head back toward the angel.

It hadn't moved. He takes a few moments to actually blink at it, before he lowers his weapons]

Sorry! It wasn't an alien after all, just a statue that looked like one. I didn't mean to scare you.
