[There are notes all around the Mansion today. Not very complicated notes. In fact, they're very simple.
'Kaito,
I have a surprise for you, so come to the lobby as soon as possible.
Love,
mom'
Of course, should any Kaito listen to this letter and enter the lobby, they'll find a surprise.
Namely in the form of a pitfall right in front of all the doors. One with aligators, one with dogs, one with snakes, and for the truly unlucky Kaito, one with fish.
And should they pass the pitfall, they'd have to deal with a poles shooting out of the ground.
And should they pass that, there will be a swinging blade pendulum of death.
And then there will be cake.
Chocolate cake.
Which is actually perfectly safe. That's his treat for making it through alive.
Of course others are allowed to be caught by the traps by mistake, of course. Aya will come help you since you're not Kaito. Aoko's won't be helped though, since she trained her too.]

[He smiles again then, impulsively, leans in and presses a kiss to her cheek.]
[His cheeks are very slightly pink, and he looks mildly embarassed.]
[Cough.]
It was complicated to begin with, but now we know who we are.
[Why yes, event he vaunted Phantom Thief can resort to subject changes.]
no subject
It certainly sounds complicated. But it's good to know who you are. I'm glad you could figure that out.

[His smile is fond, for her, and for the memories he's sharing. His gaze drops to the rose in her fingers, looking up again with a slight grin.]
Your chocolate's melting, milady.

[Looks at the chocolate.] Oh. So it is. [Takes a bite.] Delicious.

It's a long one, but perfectly interesting in it's own right.

Should we relocate, then? I would hate to spoil the surprise.... and besides, I'm quite sure if we stay here, there will be no cake left as a reward!
[He smiles cheerfully, having cast a regretful look in the cake's direction.]

[And she's walking over to the rope she came down from the second floor on to climb right back up.

[A swirl of his cape, and he's gone, but back again, up on the balcony ready to offer a gentlemanly helping hand to Aya.]
Although now there runs the danger of me calling a heist for one of your spare cakes~
no subject
Hm, don't you usually have to send those sort of notes in advance?
no subject
Though, to be fair, a heist for a cake must be hastily planned by necessity, owing to the very nature of what is being thieved.
[He continues in a more conspiritorial tone, his voice hushing a little.]
Cakes, after all and alas, do have the unfortunate tendency of having a eat-by-date.

But I wouldn't need too much time to make sure it's not too easy a steal for you. [Winks.] After all, it's no fun when it's easy to get the target.
((OOC: And for future notice, she will be referred to as Chikage as we have an official name now! After I typo is Aya five billion times.]
