[Event] Whatever you do, don't high-five
Your hands look normal, feel normal, and even smell normal. There's nothing out of the ordinary... Except when you touch something (or someone) else~
You'll start leaving handprints, fingerprints, streaks of colour along the walls, furniture, and along other people's skin. There's a different colour for every different person, and who knows what happens when you high-five?
Be imaginative!
[Here is a colour generator~ Simply click 'Random Background' for your pup's colour, and then fill in this handy-dandy html so other people know what colour you've got!]
Filled code example:
Kaitou_1412 leaves fingerprints of this <b><font color="#D76498">color</font></b>.
Also, our apologies for the lateness of this event! There has been extreme RL busy-ness to contend with.

"The high school detective? Guy who's been missing for nearly a year now? That Kudo Shinichi?"
no subject
Does this version of Kuroba Kaito know him as Kudo Shinichi? He was acting somewhat like he knew about the apotoxin and the shrinking, but the shock...
no subject
I'm -dead-? Me?
Not you, some other you. ...Can't help bu' wonder how it happened, though.
Our friends in Black, do you think?
Kaito paused a beat, listening to his detectives theorising, then added. "You're related to him?"
He didn't know Edogawa Conan, after all. A connection with him as Kid couldn't be explained in his civilian identity.
no subject
"He's a distant cousin of mine."
Glance around, no one else here. Let's try something, drop the Conan-mask a bit.
"How much do we know each other in your world, Kaito-niisan?"
no subject
"Me? I know of you - I'm a great Kid fan, after all - but I don't know you."
A grin.
"I'd like to, though. Anyone who can outsmart Kid has got to be good!"
no subject
Serious, calm. Unblinking, watching the magician.
The memory is there though, curling and laughing and threading through the past, Kuroba's eyes, wide and startled and challenging underneath the brim of KID's top hat, 'You can't prove anything, tantei-kun' challenging him. A well-placed tranquilizer dart, enough to startle the thief off the edge of the building, hang-glider. White and red and the name 'Kuroba Kaito' all over the world-wide news. Hakuba Saguru following the trails, finding the organization, getting in too deeply, too quickly, the fool. Amaretto, and carefully planned and executed robberies and kidnappings. Hostage situations where the British detective didn't know the hostages were already dead.
Beautiful chaos, all started by a seven-year-old who didn't warn a thief about the snipers in the building next door. And no one blamed him, because there was no way he could have known.
no subject
"Of course! It would take more than a detective or two to put him down!"
...Do you think something happen to me in his world?
A pause, then Conan's quiet, thoughtful tones.
I'd say so. He's not acting as much as I would as well. He might know.
And that was- well. His detectives already knew, and there was no escaping that, but he'd have rather none of them found out in the first place.
no subject
Waiting for a reaction, quiet, expression mostly blank, but containing the sort of vague almost-pity you're supposed to feel when telling someone that the version of them you know is dead.
no subject
Kaito felt like he'd just been sandbagged, his expression shutting down into familiar blankness.
"Your Kid is dead, then?"
Kaito-kun...
no subject
"Your face was international news for weeks."
no subject
Not much else to say, then, was there.
Okay. So his Kid died. Probably didn't find Pandora either. But I'm not dead. And I know to keep an extra eye out for Snake and his buddies.
Self-pep-talk accomplished, he managed a smile.
"Well, I guess there's not much point in hiding it anymore, is there, tantei-kun~~?" He let his voice drop into the smooth tones he uses for Kid, giving Conan the cheshire-cat grin that the thief is so well known for.
no subject
"Not really, no, but I think I'm the only one from my world here."
A shrug, listing off names.
"There's the dead Shinichi-niisan, and his Ran-neechan. There's a Conan who... is younger than me, sort of. There's the male version of Ran-neechan, and the Sonoko-neechan from his world. There's a female version of Hattori Heiji. A Hakuba-niisan or three, and a bunch more of Shinichi-niisan and me, and some other people."
He pauses, expression going slightly dark.
"And 1412, the Hakuba from his world, and possibly that Edogawa Conan as well."
no subject
No comment on your new gender, Hattori?
Hey, unlike some people, I ain't tha' phased by weird stuff.
That's hardly a surprise.
...An' jus' what th' hell do ya mean by that?
Kuroba stopped payaing attention, realising exactly where their argument was heading. There was a point that worried him, and from Conan's quiet, he'd picked up on it too.
"And I'm guessing that when you say 1412, you aren't just doing that to annoy Nakamori-keibu?"
no subject
He leans against the wall, a shrug.
"That Hakuba is easy to recognize. Gun-shy, doesn't let you get within stabbing or strangling distance. The version of me would be harder to discern, I'm thinking. He'd be really good at acting, at twisting the truth."
Absently, tracing a lopsided upside-down KID caricature in light blue on the wall.
"1412's easy to spot. He's in full uniform."
A sudden angry slash of his hand, obliterating the grinning KID with a savage stroke of more blue color.
"Don't call him Kuroba Kaito, don't call him crazy, and if he asks to play a game, run like hell and dodge the knives."
no subject
"What happened to me? Do you know?"
He walked over to Conan, bending a little to draw over Conan's blue splat in quick, sure strokes of pink.
Shinichi interjected quietly. For that matter, what happened to -me-? He's acting... off. Angry.
no subject
He moved aside a bit, watching Kaito's sketching.
no subject
"I'd guess... He picked you up and threw you? You've had medical care, right?"
no subject
no subject
Kuroba, what are you-
Too late, Kudo~ thought Kaito gleefully as he reached out to ruffle Conan's hair, fully intent on getting pink streaks all over it.
"That!" He proclaimed triumphantly, "Is revenge for the soccer ball."
no subject
"I never touched you with a soccer ball!"
no subject
"I'm sure you would have if I'd stuck around long enough, so the point is moot, tantei-kun."
no subject
Glowering, but not a mean glower.
no subject
"I already did~" He beamed, listening to Shinichi squawk as he found he couldn't will the colour away so easily.
