"I think this is it," Leormon said, leading the way down a hall.
"Good. Keep following it," Conan said, keeping a hand on Leormon's back, watching behind them for any sign of movement.
"Huh? Hey, this scent...." Leormon said, looking up. "He smells like that place..."
"Who? Kaito?" Conan said, looking forward.
"No, that Conan smells like that Island we went to for a day," Leormon said, gesturing down the hall.
Where another, younger Conan was, illuminated by a red butterfly. He slowed down as soon as he saw the other two, watching as the butterfly hovered outside the door of a room, trying not to let his wariness show. "Hi. Ah, that's my room," he said, pointing to the door.
Conan's eyes narrowed. "...Leormon?"
"Yes," Leormon said.
"And do you...?"
"Only you and him in the area."
"Is that really your room?" Conan asked the younger one.
Conan paused, looking over what the two said before answering. "He's Leormon?" He asked, pointing to the Digimon.
"...what about it?" Conan asked.
The younger nodded. "Just checking, he said, moving to the door to open it. "I was sent by the locator," he added, pushing up the door and following the butterfly inside.
The older paused, but followed when Leormon moved in. The Digmon didn't smell or hear anyone else nearby except the two Conan's, and the blood he was pretty sure was the Kaito they were looking for. Conan closed the door behind them before calling out, the trio illuminated by the butterfly. "Kaito?"

And he nodded at the request for clothes. "Sure go on ahead." He certainly didn't need to continue going around in those things.

"...well, not the source. More of the bait," Edogawa said. "The owner of that butterfly is confronting it right now."
"Is that why you don't have more?" Kudo asked.
Conan looked at the butterfly. "I can't manipulate them. I just ask and they respond."
"Ah, so that one can see us through the butterflies. Makes sense if it's his magic," Kudo said like that was a perfectly SANE conclusion.

He smiled at his double, but not before his gaze flickered uneasily to the apathetic boy. He hastily looked away before he could be caught staring though.
"Ah... thanks, Kaito-k... -san. I should probably get those clothes before I catch a cold. It was unfortunate that the Mansion took me while I was in a state of undress." No details. He'll let Edogawa do the talking since he wasn't sure he trusted these strangers enough yet to voluntarily reveal more himself.

"I know it's a little creepy, but he's been through a lot." He said, having noticed the way Kuroba had been looking at Kudo. He made sure to keep his voice down so the Conans couldn't hear. "He was a lot worse when I first met him."

Kudo watched the Kaito's leave before looking at the other two. "...don't worry about it. I doubt it'll happen," he said, picking up a cup and taking a seat.
"Huh? Ah...okay," Conan said. It was almost like he...stopped trying.

He noted the choice of clothes in the closet with detachment. "Do you have something... ah... loose?"

Leaving it at that, he looked over the selection to see what he could find that would be easy for him to put on with his arm in the condition it was in. It only took a moment to spot something fitting. "Here." He said, grabbing a large T-shirt with wide short sleeves. He didn't actually remember that being there, but this being the mansion, he didn't question it.

"That looks good," he chose to answer instead, grinning in a way that he didn't feel like but did for appearances sake. "Sorry to be such a bother. We need to find a place to hide out for a few days and you came highly recommended."
no subject
"...you're right. Kuroba is the one who is at the heart of this," Edogawa said.
"But it's not his fault!" Leormon said.
"I never thought it was," Kudo said calmly. "It rarely is. 'Kaito' is as good at attracting trouble as we are. But whatever his 'problem' is, it's here now. It's a high threat level. It can't be normal Black Organization as that would have EVERYONE in danger, not just him, so it's a personal thing," Kudo said.
Conan blinked. He was so...casual about it. The fact he figured all that out could be attributed to being used to this sort of thing, but nonchalant was...weird.
"Correct," Edogawa said and paused. How best to word this? "...the us in his world is like Raven."
And for a brief moment, shock and a sort of over protective anger showed on his face, his grip on the cup tight enough to turn his knuckles white. "...ah." He said, his expression calming down, though there were hints of those emotions instead of just his pure aparth, before he stood up, setting down the cup, before heading over to the Kaito's.
Conan blinked, not quite sure what happened. Clearly, it was something only they knew, but he couldn't really make heads nor tails of it. Though...whatever it was, was apparently really bad.
Kudo didn't really...pay attention to whatever state of dress was, focusing on Kuroba. "His Shinichi is basically Raven and is in the Mansion. He's staying as he doesn't have your skill level to deal with that. Edogawa wouldn't bring him here otherwise," he said and glanced at Kuroba. "Can you handle this Shinichi when you're not injured usually or should we find a way to help you do that too?" He asked. He'd be damned if he let a Kaito, any Kaito, be hurt while he could help it. Even if it was from an alternate him.
no subject
"That will depend on what you mean by 'handle'," he said, slightly guardedly and eyes skipping over to Edogawa and Leormon by the other end. "I... had plans." Kaito bit his lip, a small sign of nervousness that betrayed his state of mind.

A Shinichi who was like Raven? That was... a highly unsettling thought.

"At the moment, just a place to stay is fine." He shifted his gaze between Kudo and Kaito, and his stomach growled loudly before he could say anything else. Smiling with slight embarrassment, he explained, "I haven't eaten for a while."
no subject
He paused for a moment. "Even if you don't trust us, as long as you don't make it difficult for us to help you, it's fine. We're not going to let you be defenseless here," he said and there was definitely worry in his eyes.
He then turned. "There's still snacks. I'll go make a something with a bit more substance, though it'll only be prepackaged food," he said and headed for the kitchen.
