[Event] I went to the animal fair...

Welcome to the zoo! No more of that stuffy mansion, it's fun and games for all. There's snakes and tigers and bears, and zebras, and monkeys, and all sorts of animals for you to see...

Except... The cages are all open.

Where have the animals gone? You can still hear the noises they make, so they must be here... And more importantly, where's the exit to this zoo? Who knows what is lurking behind that bush, around that corner...

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my...

Aoko blinked at him for a moment, and then huffed, scowling. "You shouldn't let kids hear you. You don't want them to start swearing, too!"

She stood up off the branch she'd scrambled onto, and reached up to the next one, so she could be more at a level with Eight if she had to scold him. She didn't want him doing a Kaito and just scrambling up higher to avoid her, because then she'd climb up to him and that always ended badly.

"Why? They don't have any adverse meaning on their owns- no more than a dog barking or a cat meowing does." That wasn't to say that was how he used those particular sounds, but he was really just being obnoxious and he knew it. Eight rolled a wrist, chain dart falling convienently into his free hand from-- somewhere-- and used it to get to the next branch up, and then the next few.

Aoko made an irritated noise, making a jump for the next branch up and following Eight with surprising grace for a typical Aoko. "That's not what I meant, and you know it!" She scrambled up onto the branch, balancing easily with her hands on her hips. "And stop running away!"

"Why should I?" Eight taunted, watching Aoko with curiosity. Hmm, this one is most assuredly not like the one he left at home! "I want to see if you can keep up with me, A~o~ko~"

"You're just as bad as Kaito, honestly..." But Aoko's been challenged and unlike most, this one as a tendecy to rise to the occasion.

"Just you wait," she says as she reaches for the next branch. "You're going to run out of tree eventually!"

"Ahh, but what if I have a plan for when I do, A-o-ko~?" Eight taunts, making his way further up the tree. He's completely being batshit about this, he knows.

Her grin as she looks up at him is viciously determined, a glint in her eye that any sane Kaito would know to fear.

"You're not the only one who can make plans," she challenges, scrambling up onto a branch, and then the next with barely a pause, intent on closing the distance between them.

Eight's plan is simple- when he gets to the top, he's going to jump off.

It really should hurt, except that he knows how to fall without killing himself, and there's always the fact that he's maybe just a little bit immortal to help.

Aoko's going to give a tiny little shriek when she sees him go, scrambling to the edge of the branch she's on (quite close to the top, actually) and looking out.

Except she's shrieked from annoyance, not fear for Eight, and the look is a brief one as she flings herself off as well. Short stubby glider-type wings open out along her arms and slow her descent enough not to kill her. She rolls to the ground some distance away from Eight, scraping her knees and an elbow, but her grin is very very triumphant.

"I knew those would work!"
