[Toichi was not one to often seem like he was taken off guard. Even when he was, it was amazing how he kept most people from realizing it. This situation he's found himself in, however?

Well, even the great Kuroba Toichi has to have a bit of a 'bwuh' look at finding himself suddenly in a dining hall when he had been just walking into the kitchen. And quite the expansive dining hall at that with all the food prepared.

Sure, he could pull off a disappearing act, but he usually knew where he was going to end up.]

How...strange.

[Oh, and something to note? This Toichi looks...older then some people might know him as. At least eight years older than most Kaito's would remember him, in fact.]

Well, it seems he uses my heists as a mental break from murders. He's quite lively and more childish than he usually is from what I've seen. If a bit...zealous.

Because a submissive woman is boring?

That fits pretty well with how he is back home. Crime is a puzzle, heists are games. One of the few times he can actually let loose, I'd say.

...Aoko or Koizumi as submissive is a terrifying thing to imagine.

Just as long as he doesn't purposefully jump off anymore buildings.

Ah, but then he does have a bit more of a clue. Better an idea than to do something completely new out of the gate all of the time. Especially with his luck. Now if he had Mouri-chan's luck, that's a different story.

I still need to make a game of chance happen between you two. I imagine it would be quite the event.

He's got about the same amount of luck as me, which is probably why he's still even alive. [cue dry tone.]

Perhaps. He does tend to come across crime scenes more frequently than I'd like. Karmic would explain how it all balances out around him, I suppose...

Well, it might explain his leg up on the taskforce and Hakuba. They don't deal with murders, so they don't get to counter the Kid luck.

How good is he at poker?

Fairly good, even when we're not cheating. And I think you'd be surprised at the sort of things he's been involved in.

You've convinced him to cheat? That in itself is quite surprising.

One of my finer achievements. We're that much better when we work as a team~

That and a few other things. The first... first hand account. Which was actually rather therapeutic for both of us, believe it or not. The second? Well... experiences since then. And a helluva lotta research. Seriously, at this rate? He's going to start needing glasses at some point.

[Leans forward, and rests his head on a hand, elbow on the table.] I can thank Tantei-kun for that, just so you know. And yes - in my world at least, they're the same guys.

Just don't overdo it. [Looks amused and approving though.]

...I had wondered about that. It seemed a possibility, with a side affect like that.
