[This Hakuba enters through the Lobby doors perfectly calmly, but he appears to be talking to himself.]
Moron. Of course I knew that. And for your information, you were completely out of tune in the first one.
[He's seeming to wait for a response as he's walking, but... nothing. Sensing that something's wrong, he stops. Looks around. Even those who don't know him all that well can probably tell that what's on his face now is increasing panic.]
Kuroba? Kuroba! I thought that we'd agreed not to split up at all! And that includes to set up stupid, idiotic, childish pranks, you moron! Weren't you the one who said you thought you'd be safer if-
[A thought's struck him, and he rushes out to the door to the outside, gets it open, but only sees what anyone else would see, the lawn and the fog beyond that. It doens't help his state of mind any. Though at least he knows now that Kuroba's either in here or. . . out there. Pranking or something else - out of the two, he'd prefer pranking, what with the murders that've been going on in the area for the past few weeks or so.]
This. . . reminds me of something.
[Old stories, and - something even worse than murder occurs to him.]
I didn't do anything. Anything at all. I had my hands right where I knew they were all that time, and nothing was in my pockets, and -
This doesn't look like the Gate of Truth grandfather told me about anyway.
[He lets loose a sigh of relief, but he's not really all that relieved. He might be mistaken.
Prove him wrong? He already knows about that there's more than one world, but unless you recognise it, you've got to figure which one out. Does mean he's going to be easier to explain to, though.]

I'm afraid it wasn't actually anything you did.
no subject
Nothing that 'I' did? Maybe you could explain that to me. And... I don't think I have any cousins or other such distant relatives who look quite so much like myself.
I saw that~
Of course. This location is a nexus dimension between realities, which for some reason, has an amusing habit of pulling in multiple versions of the same person.
I thought you would. Yes, new. Wrong account, same words.
[He groans, and his head falls into his hands.]
Somehow, this all has to be grandfather's fault. Or Kuroba's - worst case scenario, both. If I wasn't so directly related to a man who could think this sort of thing normal, I'm sure it wouldn't be happening to me.
[His grandfather doesn't actually think it normal, but the man himself would have to tell him that.]
I must admit that I am having more trouble coming to terms with the fact that this is a dimension between realities, than the fact that there is more than one version of myself.
Everyone does it. More than once...
We must have different grandfathers.
[He turned away, headed towards one of the halls.]
Come on, I'll show you around.
Yes, it is. And that's a relief.
[Not that he'd actually come out and say it - even and especially to another him - but he's honestly worried still about Kuroba. Not so much his grandfather, but Kuroba's got this habit of getting into trouble.]

I suppose the time thing does make a certain amount of sense; grandfather told me that on this world - I mean, the one where I usually reside - time goes faster than on his home world.
[Have a wan smile. He thinks he's getting to like this version of himself that has all the nice shiney answers that basically say everything's all right. He is rather curious about him, though. Note he hasn't said anything more specific about his own grandfather...]
no subject
He's from a parallel dimension? That's an interesting difference.
[He's the Doctor, he always has the nice shiny answers that basically say everything's all right. And if he doesn't, he isn't going to let anyone know.]
no subject
Not... exactly a parallel dimension. More like a version of Earth where everyone usually shows up, but differently from how you know them. And several other differences. Of course, for him, it was the other way around.
[And of course, Saguru likes being difficult from having spent so much time around Ed and Kaito.]

[And of course, the Doctor can be rather mellow about this sort of thing. He's like a starwhale.]
no subject
[But of course he is. In oh so many ways...]
sorry, distracted by RAWS~~~ http://hi.baidu.com/conanheiji/album/File%20731
[The
starwhaleTime Lord leads his human counterpart through the nearest door, peering inside to identify it before walking through.]And this room happens to currently be the dining hall, with enough food to feed about a hundred teenage humans readily available at any time of day, night, or otherwise.
O_O ... *grins*
[Blinks, and stares. It almost makes him feel resentful of the fact that breakfast for him was only less than two and a half hours ago. Not long enough for him to feel hungry again.]
...Currently? You mean it isn't always? I suppose it could be transformed into something else, if there was a little work put into it.
~~~~ ALSO THERE WAS NO HTML FAIL
[To prove it, he led Saguru back out into the hall, closed the door, fixed the idea of "library" firmly in his mind, and opened it again, revealing high shelves full of books.]
Of course not! But now I know how to do 'small' *shot*
Hmm... I wonder if there are any books that might help with the investigation...
[This Saguru is now almost lost to you. It is Library, with captital letter. Full of very interesting books and research material from different worlds, apparently. Is in bliss mode.]
((ooc: I'm almsot considering using my DW/MK Hakuba. Would be interesting to have the two meet, just for that... After I've had these two put through their paces a bit more.))
YOUR GRANDFATHER KNOWS HOW TO DO SMALL *shot twice*
Nothing that explains this place, but if you look long enough you can find books that are obviously from different worlds.
no subject
Different worlds? Or parallel dimensions? Or perhaps both...
[He trails off as he notices the rather large crime section, and shakes his head to keep his mind on track. He can't lose his focus.]
[And there's Aoko, looking at him like she's not quite seeing him, expression dazed. She's also wearing rather thick clothing.
And weapons. Namely two pistols obvious at her waist and she has a mop strapped to her back. A mop with...rather telling stains.]
no subject
[He's staring. Really, he is.] Aoko-kun, what on Earth are you doing here? I thought Kuroba called.. [...and he's finally realised there's something iffy. Goes very still, very quickly.]
Could you please tell me why you happen to be armed so heavily? I... I'm fairly certain that your father would never let you out of the house like that. [He's looking extremely unnerved. The fact that Aoko's got rather telling stains on that mop doesn't help, as where he's just come from, a rather messy murder had just happened the previous morning.]
no subject
[And her expression goes more distant.] Hakuba, don't you know about the zombies...?
no subject
Nakamori-san did..? [It would explain why he thinks he recognises it - or at least the design. But knew what, exactly? Then-]
Z-zombies?! I- [Keep it together. At least you've got all of your limbs as well as grandfather's alchemy. You can do this.] No. No, I don't believe I do. I - have only just arrived. Here.
no subject
Arrived...? But this is the safe place. Kaito can do magic tricks and sometimes talk here. Makoto-san said you were with him and Koizumi-san. Immuned to zombie bites. Hakuba should know...
[Aoko, sadly, didn't have the best grasp of reality.]
no subject
He shakes his head. It wasn't helping.]
Safe place...?
[The other things she says go through his mind, but hardly any of it other than that makes any sense. He's used to the idea of zombies - older cousins who like the horror genre and a hyperactive Kuroba during Halloween did desensitse one to the idea, even. But the idea that they could be real iny any part of the apparently various worlds sent a forbidding shiver down his spine.]
no subject
They said...they said that they had to protect Aoko...
[Holsters the gun again.]
[His speech is controlled, slightly stilted given what Aoko's just unwittingly given away. Assuming that all of this was real in the first place, of course. But if it was, then what she had been saying fitted all too well with the fictious scenarios he knew of. It was so very, very wrong seeing all of those signs on her, the girl who had been so full of life when he had first met her in that classroom.
He hates himself for relaxing when she puts the gun away.]
no subject
[Gives a small, distant smile.]
Aoko hasn't been able to see you. She's glad...Hakuba's all right.
