There is, in a hallway, a small child. He looks to be about seven years old. He looks to be a Kaito. He also looks rather confused and lost and startled.
He isn't going to introduce himself as Kuroba Kaito though, and he isn't going to be performing any magic tricks for you.

"How old is your Ran-neechan?"

Hands in his pockets, smiling up at her. Ran-neechan, yay!

"I'm going to be nineteen this year, Edogawa-kun. I've never met you."

Ran didn't seem particularly bothered by the idea. It was bizarre, but she'd had time to get used to her male alternate.

This Ran was from a world where he wasn't shrunk, where the internet connected different realities. That was almost stranger than a male Ran.
A pause, then a startled expression. "Does Niisan have a crush on Ran-niichan? Because he has a crush on my Ran-neechan."

Unless...
...he was Shinichi.
(Which had completely different implications that she wasn't going to think about, because if she did, she just knew she'd start blushing.)
Ran's expression gained a shade of suspicion as she peered at Maurice. She knew Shinichi didn't have any twin brothers --
-- well, except for the ghost Shinichi, he had Conan as a little brother --
-- but they weren't really twins --
-- whatever, Maurice still looked a lot like Kuroba-kun had when he'd shrunk.
But how could she prove it one way or the other?
Come on, Ran, think!

"Ayumi-chan was the one who noticed it, and then I kinda started teasing him about it. He turns a pretty great shade of red."
