[It suddenly just got a whole lot colder in the dressing room...]

[The Kid standing in the hallway seems like any other - white suit and hat, monocle - but the monocle is frosted over and you can't quite make out his eyes...his head is tilted as he looks around at the mansion curiously.]

This isn't the museum...it's so warm...

Miss Witch? Is this another of your little tries to trap me? If it is, I will be very upset...I have a heist to attend~

[Despite his light words, Kid is frowning. Stupid little witch...only wanted what she couldn't have...constantly interfering...he couldn't miss his heist, what if this was one of the ones that Snake turned up at?]

[And it was so warm here...wherever here was...he turned, and started down the hall, wandering aimlessly to find somewhere slightly cooler while he waited for Miss Witch to show up.]

(OOC: This Kaito is slightly different from normal - details are in his profile!)

Jeeze, why is this part of the mansion so cold?

[And there's an Aoko walking through the hall. Wearing a skirt of all things. She changes to fit in with the usual style, the exception being some odd cylinder with a brand symbol around her neck, and she finds the place with the broken air conditioning.

Then she turns into a hallway and stopped, staring at the Kaitou Kid she saw.]

...Kid?

[identity profile] eternal-mopgirl.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
[Aoko paused, looking to be actually thinking.] Yeah...it was some sort of anti-sign, so that was me!

[Odd she didn't seem to remember it right away. Then again, this Aoko wasn't quite as young as she looked.]

[identity profile] eternal-mopgirl.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 08:40 am (UTC)(link)
[She pouted.] Well, it's been a while. A...really long while.

[Looks at the windows and shivers.] ....did you mess with the air conditioner for some new trick.

[She's also surprisingly casual despite being around Kid. Comfortable, almost, except for the shivering.]

[identity profile] eternal-mopgirl.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 08:51 am (UTC)(link)
The last heist of yours I was at, I was with Conan-kun doing the detectve thing and chasing after you.

[Again, casual. Very, very casual.]

But that's also a long story where it's kind of a game.

[Frowns at that.] Need your cold? [Bites her lip and ponders. Okay, she'd just bite the bullet and probably freak out this Kid.] You're Kaito, right? Kuroba?

[identity profile] eternal-mopgirl.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 09:20 am (UTC)(link)
Of course nobody gets hurt. It's just a mental and physical challenge.

[Oh, does not like his reaction to is name. Not at all. Aoko looked saddened.]

...this cold...it's from you, isn't it? And not because of any devices. [A Kaito who WAS Pandora, another who was a legendary heroic spirit, her own Kaito being an immortal with her. No, the idea of Kaito being something other than human was no longer foreign.]

[identity profile] eternal-mopgirl.livejournal.com 2010-02-18 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
It's become a sort of theme lately, to meet Kaito's who aren't human. And I've gotten used to strange things over the years.

So you're making everything cold...some sort of ice spirit, right? With the ghost on you, it's can't just being a ghost.

[identity profile] eternal-mopgirl.livejournal.com 2010-02-18 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. This place...it's a place in between dimensions. It pulls people here, alternates. Like my Kaito is here and he definitely doesn't make everything cold.

[Pauses and nods.] There have been beings that said that before. Because of the reason having a strong magical aura, it gets noticed. Aoko is old. [Very, very old.]

[She frowns, thinking.] Pregnant woman that dies in a blizzard...?

Yuki Onna? Wasn't that her legend?

[identity profile] deaduction.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Shinichi's not surprised by the drop in the temperature -- he's been wanting to talk to Haibara after all. He follows the cold, turning down a corridor as he calls out.]

Haibara! Wait up, I--

[Pause. This is unexpected.]

The Kaitou Kid?

[identity profile] deaduction.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 09:07 am (UTC)(link)
[There's echoes of 1412 there, and Shinichi stays still a moment, trying to sort out the complicated layers of recognition here. The Kid, of course, more like the one he knows than others he's met and yet not, and that coldness, overwhelming almost everything else, but it can't mask death to one that knows it.]

Kid.

What happened to you?

[identity profile] deaduction.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 10:04 am (UTC)(link)
I gathered. I know dead ... [Peering curiously at Kid, trying to work out what it is that's different -- he doesn't feel like Haibara or the ghost Aoko does.] But you've something else--

[Kid's words register and Shinichi looks up surprised. ]It's all right. This place -- they can't make you leave.

Eight years?

[identity profile] deaduction.livejournal.com 2010-02-18 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
[Shinichi's expression is thoughtful, possibly sad -- but that's banished in a second as he smiles.] Kudou Shinichi, deceased. Nice to meet you.

[He has a suspicion of course, what with the cold -- even if he has to remind his inner realist that a ghost has no place to quibble about what is or isn't realistic.]

Think coming back changes everyone. You've done well to keep together this long.

[identity profile] dead-tantei.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
[Heiji is slightly surprised by the drop in temperature, but assumes it's another ghost. He turns around and notices Kid. He makes sure to keep a good distance though as he's feeling bad vibes from him. An ability he hasn't lost even in death.] Ya new 'ere, Kid?

[identity profile] menaremyslaves.livejournal.com 2010-02-18 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm?

[Unless she's very much mistaken, she's the only witch around here. Akako looks down the hall.]

Who called for me?
