it's in my head, it's in my veins, in my heart and in my lungs~

The laughter is echoing down the hallways, utterly, utterly amused. There are the sounds of a scuffle, of things hitting walls, murmured taunts

--a sharp cry of pain, a young voice crying out.

Silence.

A giggle, and more clearly.

"My win~"

Turn the corner, and there is blood on the walls - not much, a little splatter here and there, decorating the knives sunk into the plaster. A fight has taken place in this narrow corridor. Quick, violent, not enough room to maneuver properly, hits taken on both sides. A white-clad 1412 leans over an unconscious Conan on the floor, his face broken by a grin.

Come and interrupt him, if you dare~

Oh, it was that one. He's heard of this one.

And there was no way he wasn't gonna dare. Especially since he didn't even really think when he saw how manic this Kaitou Kid looked even with all the blood. It was wrong. Kaitou Kid didn't grin like that when other blood was spilled.

"Freeze!" It was the only warning that came back a soccer ball came flying for 1412's head. Though it might be a surprise that THIS chibi tantei wasn't as chibi as the others, looking to be around at least 11, possibly 12 years old.

Conan dove out of the way of the card gun, landing in a crouch, fingers already twirling the dial on his shoes again as he glared at 1412.

"Get away from him 1412. I won't let some demented version of Kaito cause anymore harm."

It's not just size that was different. The look in Conan's eyes were not that of the calm detective or the dark smugness of his rival. This Conan had a desperation in his eyes. A insanely determined desperation in his eyes.

"It doesn't matter the reasons," Conan said coldly. "I'm sure Aoko never asked to 'play' with you."

"No, she didn't. She cares about her friend and seeing you like this scared her. She cares too much for you to believe it to be true," Conan said matter of factly. His eyes narrowed. "And that's why I can't forgive you. Having his face, hurting his best friend, hurting others all for a 'game.' I can't allow it."

"That's why I used 'his.' You're just a demented alternate, a world that never should have been," Conan practically spat. "Having his face, that's what's unforgivable."

He filed away the 'friend' information to look at later, to see what 1412 meant. But for now, it was better to focus on him.

Conan didn't flinch. "A world that should have never been. It's wrong to have a Kaito fall so far," he said. Oh, he knew this was dangerous ground.

He didn't really care.

"Just a demented psycho. Another criminal to stop."

Conan smirked. Though...it wasn't quite the usual arrogant smirk. This one looked a bit more...manic. Maybe even hysterical, if one could call someone that calm such a word.

It was a bit obvious this Conan might not quite be all right in the head either. "Oh, not lost. Never lost. You don't like it, 1412? Being called what you are? Demented? Crazy? Insane?"

He was watching that knife though. Stupid in his approach as he might be, he wasn't that stupid.
