[Strangely enough, it isn't until the assassin drops on him that this "Hakuba" realises he's about to be assaulted. When 1412 does land on him, he stiffens and tries to throw his assailant off.]

Not bad, actually. Somewhat boring though.

[And he tilts his head so he's looking at things upside down now] Huh. I think I prefer things this way!

[Moving down the hallway, obviously expecting the magician to follow him into the next room.]

[The smart remark he had prepared on the tip of his tongue is lost as soon as 'Hakuba' refers to him by his first name.

There's a beat as the magician straightens, and suddenly he feels a twinge of annoyance. He gives the blond a very odd look]

... Kuroba. [He corrects him] Since when have you called me Kaito?

[A pause, glancing backwards at his companion in confusion.]

[Of course it had annoyed the magician, at first, but the human had gradually gotten used to it.]
