[dodging, as far as 1412 was concerned, was the precursor to running, and very amusing to watch]

[he smiles cheerfully, leaning forwards a little ]

You'd run for the precious Ran, wouldn't you? Might not be girlfriend, but you'd run~ right~?

[He stared back defiantly.]

1412 would very much like to see what the chibi would do for his not-girlfriend.

[he flips a knife up into the air, and as he catches it, his hand is already drawing back, flinging it at Conan, aimed to catch his right thigh]
