[Well, it certainly seems like he's attempting to measure the distance between the windows. He's jotting down his findings in some sort of reporters' notepad, and hasn't noticed her yet.

[He jumps a little, just enough to leave a scribble on the page. He corrects it, and then turns around, a pleasantly surprised look on his face by the time he does.]

Ah, sorry! Most people don't often go outside, it seems. So I thought I'd check a few of my suspicions!

[This kid is also meandering outside. Slightly more tanned than your average Conan, and slightly weedier too, his clothes home-made and worn, and his arms wrapped around a bucket as he watches Sera wander.]
