Because the DR can't get enough of him~

One moment he was on a case - he'd almost figured out the method, and the culprit wasn't going to get away - and the next he was in a hallway somewhere, furnishings completely different from any room in the house or district he'd just been in.

Cautiously, he starts looking around, opening doors and investigating floors. The look on his face isn't too dissimilar to that of Kudo Shinichi or any of the other high school detectives... apart from the fact that he's over twenty years before their time.

It might be a bit strange, but there's a large white tiger with a 'santa collar' of all things around his neck.

And as soon as he spots you, it appears he can talk as well. "Oh GOD it's another one."

Gee that's... New.

It takes a minute for Tadashi to realise that it was a TIGER doing the speaking.

First he has to turn around, and then he has to see the tiger, and then he has to look around to check that there's no one else around.

There isn't.

"Ah... another one?"

He's hallucinating. He has to be.

Okay.

If he doesn't recognise the voice, it's another young one, so... "There are a bunch of older yous in this place. ...And one child you." As though it's the most normal thing to say ever...

"This place?" He's... going to pass over that whole thing about 'other selves' for now until he's got evidence, kthx. "Then, where are we?"

"Dimensional nexus." So he says with a stretch. "Not really another way to say it."

Dimensional... nexus.

Right.

His head certainly came up with the strangest things.

Actually, no, he's just going to start laughing at that. Just a bit.

"Yea.. I'm probably not the best one to explain this. Least not looking like this." Stretch... "Anyways, it's a meeting point for people from alternate dimensions; including you."

Beat.

"And an abnormal amount of pint-sized detectives."

"Haha... somehow, I'm not surprised...! And I suppose you're a shape-shifting alternate version of someone I know, right?"

Look who still isn't taking this seriously...

"Eh... Something like that..." Yessssss. Something.

"I doubt you'll know most of the people here though."

"Eh... If I won't know so many of the people, then why are there supposedly so many of me around?"

Logic. Ta-da.

"Because they're all about fifteen or so years older than you," he responds casually. "Which means you haven't met 'm."

"But I'll be... old by then!"

Tadashi, 'thirties' is not 'old'. Nevertheless, something else hits him.

"Eh- but if I haven't met them 'yet'... what about the people I do know?" ...Koji. This one has a family and friends. "The ones I know from... home."

Bit of a growl. "Oiiii. If you think thirty is old, I'd hate to see what happens when you hit anything more than that..! And besides," he continues, pacing away don the hall a bit. "Time doesn't pass here, calm down... They won't even realize you left when you get back."

Just... let him take that in. Wait for it, wait for it...!

"Th-that's-! Then it's not as bad as I thought, I mean, I left that case almost solved. I just needed one more piece of evidence - and I even knew where that would be! If time doesn't even pass here, then...!"

Have you ever imagined one of your other selves on a detective!rant, Koji? Well have you? Because here you have one.

"THEN WRITE IT DOWN SO YOU DON'T FORGET."

Koji, you are loud.

"Oi, oi... no need to be so noisy, Tora-san. And don't you think I'd already thought of that?"

In fact, there is indeed a small notepad inside his jeans pocket. He's got a pen on him somewhere, too.

"...Oh." Kay.

"...Then what the heck are you so worried about."
