*The first thing about this new arrival is that he's older. Possibly by a good ten years.
He is familiar with being pulled out of one space and plopped into another, so it was hardly surprising to him that he's found himself in another manor.
But the lack of surprise didn't mean he couldn't be cautious. Or angry. He'd just recovered enough from his injuries to be moving around without getting lightheaded, and here he was again away from home and without Kazuha.
He's dressed in light clothes that are easy to move in. A tank top and cargo pants. The tank top is thin enough to show the gauze taped to his chest, as well as numerous scars across his arms and shoulders. There is another thick bandage around his right bicep. Slung around his waist, almost carelessly, is a gun holster, but he's holding the gun in his left hand, keeping it low in order to keep it from being noticed immediately.
He's got a wary look about him, as if he's been through this sort of situation before, and he glances around the parlor he's found himself in before moving to the door and creaking it open. Front hall? Or perhaps another living room. He cases it quickly, checking for life, before moving it.
Heiji does this with every room he passes, stepping swiftly, but quietly down the halls, and slowly tries to piece together where he is.*

Bit lost?

*he pauses, wait, that voice is familiar. He looks at her properly and has to double take, her name on his lips before he catches himself*
Ya....ya can't be...
no subject
He tenses, and turns around slowly. He may not be facepalming, but the keywords are still there...]
no subject
Though he's certainly not letting go of his gun for that same reason. Pocket dimension means Gin could very well be here.*
...who are ya? *suspicion*
no subject
Hideyoshi Akio. And you are...?
[He stopped himself from saying 'the man pointing the gun at me'. Best not to aggravate the injured man with a gun, after all...]
no subject
Maeda Sanzo. *one of many aliases*
Question, Hideyoshi-han. Where am I?
no subject
[In other words, he can see right through the false name. One of the many benefits of having the nose of a fox.
But he isn't calling Hattori out on it.]
As far as I can say, I think the term is 'multidimensional nexus'. It mostly appears as some kind of Mansion, or a hotel of sorts, however. Does that help?
no subject
*he slowly puts the gun into its holster, clicking the safety on. He's getting tired from being alert for so long, and it's starting to show*
no subject
One of my alternate selves helpfully told me that usually I'm in a criminal organisation of some sort. I can understand why trust might be an issue.
[He can also sympathise with the need to be on alert so much. He stands and heads over the small kitchenette area - just a kettle and a sink for drinking water, really - and opens a cupboard.]
Tea?
no subject
Sure, thanks.
Guess it's not so surprising that He'd have alternate selves as well.
no subject
You look like you need it, if you don't mind my saying so.
[He sets the kettle to boil, and sets out two cups, choosing teabags from a box on the side.]
Ah, I suppose... I mean, not long after I arrived, I was witness to a gathering of sorts. Several versions of the ki- Edogawa-kun, that is.
no subject
*he frowns as he watches Akio make the tea, but not at him. It's more curiosity and confusion at the idea of multiple Conan's in one place. If they'd ever set their minds to something...he shuddered to think of the result.
Mention of the boy almost made him grimace. He still hasn't heard word from the other detective after they'd gotten separated.*
So people really can coexist with their alternate selves in this place. Different from the other manor 've visited.
no subject
[The frown he's wearing is almost audible. Just what was he doing to get those wounds?]
Oh, yes. No Blinovitch Limitation in play at all. That is, physical contact is more than possible, since - I assume - we all come from vastly different worlds...
[He turns back to 'Sanzo'.]
Milk? Sugar?
no subject
Well, good t'know I won't destroy th' universe if I meet m'self. *there's amusement in his voice. See? He's not completely broken.*
Nah, plain's fine. Been a while since 've had sugar. Or tea, for that matter.

He recognizes you. Sort of. "..." Conan's actually surprised (for once). "..A gun?"
no subject
K- *he grits his teeth. Really, he should know better than to use their real names after all this time. Unfortunately, that also included 'Conan' now, so he was a bit at a loss as to what to say.
The gun finds its way back into the holster and he rubs his hand on his pants.*
Yeah. Not somethin' I chose lightly.
ACK- LJ didn't notify me, sorry- |D
Especially since this Conan has obviously lived as such for about 8 years. For shame.
His Hattori has the same issue though, so he's not calling you on it. "I wouldn't think you were." Particularly since it's kind of illegal for... Everyone.
Except police. "...I'm guessing there's a story here?"
No prob. Notifs are down for me too. 8/
He knew this wasn't HIS Kudo (as if that wasn't giving him a headache all on its own). It's been around ten years, and the kid's grown now. He also hasn't heard from him in weeks and every day that passed worried him more and more.
Hopefully Ran was still with him.
Shaking his head slightly to clear the thoughts, he shifted the subject slightly. "What is this place? Some kinda pocket dimension?"
AH- They're back! ;u;
Not to mention, if Hisoka's word was anything to go by, at least two other 'Gin' in the area... ...That weren't trying to kill him.
"...It's a fairly particular nexus," he adds with that thought.
/s-still missing them ;__;
;;A;; nuuuuuuuu...
He had his own thinky face for a moment, but now he's looking back up at Hattori. "I know for a fact that Ayumi-chan's 'duel monsters' aren't common among most universes; and with that, neither are the top players. It's like they just don't exist in worlds where the game isn't."
Is oksy though, I can has refresh!
He shrugs. "I tried not t' think about it, otherwise I went round in circles tryin' to cope how what was happenin' was impossible."
YAY~ (...I can has bed. ||D)
"...Fun..." That sounds like something someone back home would do, frighteningly enough... "I can tell you that this place at least has a little more logic than that..." Perhaps..?
Wait, Conan, how does any of what Hattori said make a lick of sense even with alternate worlds in mind?
(Me too. Bed was nice 83)
"Yeah. She wasn't a very good writer."
Standing up so long with his injuries was starting to take his toll.
"Is there a kitchen of some sort 'round here?"
-stretch- Refreshment..!
And good dreams!
Indeed.

My AUs get too twisted for their own good. :U
I love it. I went through a read your AU info. I don't understand it, but I like it!
You MIGHT have more luck reading character blurbs on Ayumi's page. xD

This. Would be a crappy time to bring in Koji. (first thing that came to mind for some reason.)
This would be the best time to do everything. All the things.
...I'm tempted to ask if you're serious. OH GOD ARE YOU SERIOUS?
TAG ME WITH ALL THE PEOPLE 8DDDDDDD
THIS EXPRESSION DOES NOT BELONG ON A 'GIN'.
FFFFFFFFT.
Can't say I didn't warn you. :U
...of course, Heiji focuses on something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
It's the only way to survive when Koji's around. :U
....sometimes that is a very familiar feeling...

I am stupidly happy right now. Can't spend a whole lot of time on it, got concert, but <3!
xD

Does that mean he wouldn't recognize Ayumi? :0!
It might take him awhile. He wasn't that familiar with em to begin with and it's been ten years.
Aw. ;3; (Also; someday I will drabble these mentioned events. They were awesome. :U )
Heeeeeeeeeee. Sounds cute. You'd better link me to them if you do.
I most certainly will! As for Ayumi herself... I'll be making a thread soon actually. xD
I probably won't be able to resist. This Heiji is the only muse I've managed a decent DR thread with
