The weather forecast for the Lobby today is fair with a chance of flying Hakubas- wait... what?

Right now, if you're in the general vicinity, you'll notice one flying straight through the doors. He didn't seem to be there before, but there he is, mottled brown wings spread wide to attack something that had been there. Now, however, the balcony is where his target once was - which is a rather large cause for alarm, making him backpedal and crash land.

Possibly onto whoever came to watch the show.

"...Yes, actually. Precisely that."

Hakuba is now very curious as to how you knew that.

"Personal experience, or...?"

"Stories- It looks like your time/world comes from a separate line of events, because Bakura-san and Touzoku are both about 15 years ahead of that kind of thing."

For that you get Hakuba just staring at you. Way to go with the spoilers, there.

"I was aware of there being another presence in Bakura-san just as there is in Kuroba - and I suppose that the title 'Thief' would suit him... but I must admit to being rather surprised that you're mentioning them so flippantly."

See this unchanging expression? It tells you that Conan's word is not one you want to visit if you value sanity.

"We caught Touzoku in a kitsune seal- even if he wanted to do something, he couldn't." But that implies he doesn't want to maim people anymore..!

"...I shall have to take your word for it in this case, I'm afraid. Especially since you profess to being from a time in my prospective future."

At the moment, stuck in the fleshy body counterpart of his figurine fantasy world self, he'd almost - almost! - be willing to. But not quite.

He shrugs. "I don't know. I wouldn't count on that being the case at least- As far as I know, Hakuba in my world has never met Bakura there." He pauses, looking Hakuba over. "...What are you anyway?"

"So- what are you suggesting? The multiverse theory?" It's likely in his favour that by this point, he doesn't sound as sceptical as he might.

"I believe the race is called 'Birdtail'. Rather aptly, as I think you can see." Feathers ruffle a bit. "It is somewhat better than being stuck as an otherwise inanimate figurine."

"I think anything's better than being stuck as a figurine..." And hohhh... A non skeptic Hakuba?

Then again- Bakura.

"That's exactly what this place is- a meeting point for different universes. There's a girl Hattori here you know." Yes, a Hattori who likely intends to avoid Conan for the next bit too... "Not to mention a fair amount of 'me' at age six or closer to it."

"Almost anything. Even this is better than being a figurine under the control of someone you don't even know or trust at all."

And when it came to life-or-death things like this, then yes, he did trust Kaito. Both of him.

Blink, blink. That takes him aback. "Heaven forbid. He... I suppose, the one of my own world, is bad enough as a male." He shakes his head. "I'm sure you have plenty of trouble telling yourselves apart, not to mention others."

"In some ways." He shrugs. "I'm pretty good at telling one from the other... I'm also the only 'Conan' this old. And I'll definitely be able to tell you apart from any other Hakuba I meet." Funny, your name just became a plural...

Funnily enough, association with someone who has two personalities sort of makes that somewhat easier to come to terms with.

"I imagine that would make things much easier, yes." His tone is dry. Very, very dry. "I take it not many come here looking quite like I do right now."

Beat.

"...Nope."

But then again... He gives his wrist a flick, arm becoming a wing just as quick. "Don't assume they're normal just because of that though- there's some weird things here, neh?" As he gestures/waves with the wing.
