[It seems that there is another 'Kaito' in the mansion today, with an interesting accessory around his neck. As far as Kaito's go though, nothing seems to be out of place... He's obviously happy (always happy, it's Kaito.), and he's just sitting down to eat in the cafeteria right now, and-]

"Heh. Itadakimasu!"

[...Hold on now.

[OOC - 'OK' or 'the other Kaito' is a little more cheery/'human' as a necessity in his world; since acting like the initial puzzle spirit (IE - SOCIOPATH) would very quickly make Yugi avoid him. Moreover, Hakuba and a number of Kaito's classmates figured out that there were 'two Kaito's fairly quickly, so it's a lot more accepted for them to switch around as opposed to Kaito constantly calling the shots.]

[Conan, nine year olds, looking a bit more ragged than normal, had just walked into the cafetria upon finding himself in the Mansion. Again.]

[Only to see Kaito.]

[Which did cause him to stare. Kaito had a phobia of fish, a rather dramatic one, last he knew, so wh-]

Did you really not know what that was?

[Kaito (Rather, 'OK' it seems) merely blinks and looks at Conan rather dully. Who was this again..?

Oh. That kid that the real Kaito runs into all the time.

He looks back at his sushi.] "Of course I know what it is." [Grab fish.

Chew. Chew.

Swallow.]

And you're eating it?

...well, I guess there would be a world where Kaito didn't develop his irrational phobia of fish.

[But it's just so WEIRD to see.]

[Pause.

Oh right. It was only the class that...

A bit of Kaito is coming to mind. Time to completely roll with this (though he's not really sure about the other world thing what-)] "Of course I'm eating it. It's my lunch. And why would I be afraid of fish anyway? Nothing wrong with them..."

[As Kaito foams inside the puzzle somewhere...]

...you know, I don't know why. Just the Kaito I know would always freak out at them. Kind of funny, actually.

[He shrugs, studying this one a bit. He noted the pause, and there were others things that were Off, but that could be a world thing.]

"Huh. Is that so." [Did his eyes just flash? They might have. And-

WAIIIIIIIIIT when did Kaito have red eyes?] "Interesting. But if there's more than one world, then I can't be the same in all of them right?" [That grin. It... It's just a bit too creepy for 'Kaito'...]

[Conan blinked at that. Well then.]

[Though he wasn't...as worried about the grin, really. Not yet. Mostly because he knows of an alternate future him who seems to go crazy and then there was that whole assassin him deal....]

[But it does make him watch Kaito just a bit more.]

No, you can't. I'd hardly expect you to, but that was something rather constant.

Though, when the person ends up being different be it species or some magical ability, the differences do become a bit more obvious.

"Really now..?" [Ohohohohoh... Good thing you're not some sort of prick or you'd find out how 'obvious' obvious was...] "What kinds of other 'mes' have you met then?" [At least he's got a more convincingly Kaito-look now; mostly because he genuinely wants to know really.]

[He does try to avoid being one.]

A lot. The one from home, several here, heard about a few others. [Shrugs.] Some with small differences, others with pretty major ones. [And ones who were kind of broken, which was actually kind of heart wrenching to see.]

For the most part, they're human. Normal human, or as normal as Kaito can be. The eye changing is new. And... [A pause, studying him.] Something about your hair looks a bit off too. Messier and the color is... [He tilts his head, looking curious, trying to get the light to hit it differently so he could put his finger on what.]

The ends are colored.

"Nn-" [Blink. He caught that?] "Good call... Most people don't catch that. I guess most of 'me' have normal hair and violet eyes then..?" [They do.

And you, dear OK, just gave yourself away- how would you know the original colours already?]

[Smirks.] Unless the night job went away, or you have just been encountering me, you should know better about what I can catch. Though, I suppose I do have a particular eye for gold and red.

And yes. They do.

[There are several reasons why he knew. He could have been 'changed.' Or maybe his appearance changed naturally. It was just a question of what he was, and that was just another piece to add to the puzzle. Whatever it was, it involved his appearance changing.]

"Oh I know exactly what you catch... Still took longer for another detective to catch it." [Then again, Hakuba was a bit busy questioning the fact that he wasn't acting like Kaito would... At all. Whoops?

Sushi's done, so he's moving to throw out the container it came in. How he moves without that great big 'pyramid' clunking around is a mystery...] "Though now you have me wondering just how much about me you've guessed already," [he adds with a grin. What can he say, these things intrigue him... It's all part of one great big 'game' really.]

The me in your world or Hakuba? Is he your still kind of stalker? [Well, might as well check that similarity.]

I don't have enough information for that. Red eyes and shifted hair could be plenty of things, especially since rules of creatures can change. [Though...pyramid.] But I'd guess something Egyptian. Clunky jewelry isn't really Kaito's style. And unless you haven't figured out you need a big jewel, not likely to be a heist, even if you were inclined to be that brazen.

[Well... He knows about the heists, no harm in talking about that then.] "You could say that... The puzzle doesn't have a thing to do with the heists though, I assure you." [Moving back to sit down now, leaning against the table a bit casually despite seeming 'regalness' he tends to give off.] "And for another correction I am no creature." [...Far as he knows at least.]

[Conan notes that reaction. Even for poker face, that is...surprisingly calm.]

I assumed. You are more careful.

Though you are abnormally calm about what I'm saying. You hesitated to greet me, you weren't used to me knowing you, and usually when a 'Conan' and 'Kaito' encounter each other, it's unavoidable that they somehow get intertwined in each other's lives. I've never seen them 'meet' and just forget about each other. And yet you weren't worried that I did know you. Or your night job. Even for poker face, there's not as much...strain.

[Shrugs.] I'm using it as a general term. Vampires, werewolves, wizard, other supernatural entity. I don't have a means to narrow it down aside from Egypt right now, so I really can't think of another term to use until I do.

You still didn't blink and you seem unfamiliar with the concept. That's the odd thing. Even if you had a couple more years to perfect poker face more fully somehow, it's...odd. [And his instincts did not want to let it go. So he wasn't because it was just enough to get to him.]

Not that there's real danger in 'me' knowing. It's pretty common we actually have similar goals.

Then what's with the red eyes? And the hair? If you're going to start dying it, I wouldn't peg you for going for subtle.

"Not dyed, and naturally red. Besides." [Smirk.] "I could easily hide that if I wanted."

[He just doesn't want to.]

I wouldn't be surprised if you could. I've seen Kaito change people's hair into bright colors in an instant.

But Kaito is a pretty loud type of person. Subtle dye jobs don't seem his thing, so it's a natural part of what makes 'you' different.

[OOC - And then suddenly BAM! EXODIA, WHAT-]

"Hehehe. Maybe. Maybe not." [OK stop being vague.] "It's a good thing I don't sit around the 'you' of my world all the time, or I'd have problems." [In the form of kids getting involved in the wrong sort of games or something like that.

Bad enough that his own friends (not to mention Kaito's) were pulled into things...]

[Shrugs.] Actually, it might do Kid some good. A lot of worlds, the people he's after and the people I'm after are the same.

So long as I'm not a 'real Conan.'

[Scoffs.] That's what I'm saying. More often than not, Kid and Conan are in the same mess. There is no dragging. [Looking along the tables for something to drink.]

Murder follows me. That...I can't keep the kids from. [And there's a look of guilt for a few moments before he banishes it again.] But I'll be damned if I let them within a mile of that mess. Been doing pretty good so far, even when they were in the same hotel.

"..."

[Game's over he supposes.] "This mess isn't one that comes from 'KID', or from 'Conan' though- if anything, it has nothing to do with even 'murder'. It's a little different, in this case." [Pause.]

"So yea! There's 'dragging' to be avoided!" [Last part said with a grin, heh-]

So the entity you are is something that shares Kaito's body, right? Possibly ancient spirit possessing that puzzle of some sort? [And for his part, he doesn't look surprised.] You are a bit unnervingly calm to be a Kaito counterpart, yet not be totally psycho on some level.

Not that it's something he's unlikely to help you with. As long as it's not too serious of laws you have to break to do it. [Ah, and there's the coffee. Pouring himself some.]

To be fair, this Conan took some convincing. Mostly it's because he has major respect for Crow.
