[here have Conan sleeping a hell of a lot less then peacefully as he's tossing and turning and even thrashing in his sleep. He's muttering something but it's not clear at all what it is as his voice just isn't loud enough]

No...

Ran... Ran...

[his voice seems to have gotten maybe a touch louder. He suddenly jolts up and the name 'Ran' leaves his lips as loud as he can get it, cold sweat is dripping down his face and he's taking deep breaths as he reminds himself it was only a dream.]

[loud enough for a certain karateka to hear. Ran was up late finishing an assignment for school, and was just passing her dad and Conan's room for a drink of water before bed when she hears the shout.

Worried, she quietly opens the door and pokes her head inside. Her father is out cold and going like a chainsaw, like always, but Conan...

Conan doesn't look well at all. Thoroughly worried now, Ran steps inside and hurries over to the little boy, kneeling by his futon]

Conan-kun! [she keeps her voice low, even though she's well aware that nothing short of a bullhorn would wake up her dad right now] Are you all right? Did you have a nightmare?
