At any other time, Aoko would have snapped at him, but this time she just ignored her friend instead. Kaito was that bad, but she couldn't bring herself to point out any parallels between him and the assassin -- and she wasn't sure if it was for her sake or his.

So she occupied herself with concentrating hard on getting some good food. And sure enough, when she pushed open the door to the dining room, there was a generous plate of little bite-sized spinach-and-cheese quiches right on the center table.

The mansion really could be convenient sometimes.

A short while later, they were returning to 1412's room with a plateful of the quiche, orange juice, coffee, and some chocolate ice cream. It was very close to being a proper meal, and Aoko hoped the assassin would eat it.

He'd already seemed pretty adamant about their leaving, so rather than just barging into the room like she'd normally do, Aoko stopped and knocked quietly bit firmly on the doorframe. "We brought you some food..."
