It's Christmas time, so the halls are being decked out with everything the Mansion itself has not already provided - there's tinsel, and fairy lights, and red and green bunting all over the place, alongside more humanly put holly and ivy sprigs at regular intervals, and the trees are all the same size, in sizeable pots with decorations carefully laid out next to them ready to be put on.

Perhaps one of the things one should be more cautious about, however, is the fact that there is now fresh mistletoe over certain doorways.

You can find the perpetrator of this up a ladder, happily putting up more mistletoe which, while normal in every other sense, won't come down once it's been put up there.

It's probably a good thing to watch what you're walking under... and who with!

[OOC: You can have characters finding mistletoe and decorating the trees Akio put out both here and in new threads!   I hope everyone has fun with this.   I'm thinking that anything he puts up like this will last as long as whatever the Mansion does for the Christmas season, and this can apply for anything anyone else does as well, I suppose. :)]

*Heiji had found his door and found something more fitting to wear. The black clothes were a little ironic, but it made sense for someone who fought shadows with shadows. His wounds were rebandaged tightly, and he's sure that as long as he takes it easy he'll be able to move around sufficiently.

So here he was, staring up at Akio hanging mistletoe, and marveling at the other decorations. It's been too long since he's been a part of a big celebration.*

Having been concentrating on fixing the latest piece up, he hadn't heard Hattori walk up until he was only a few feet away. Then, he looks down with a mischievous smile.

"Impossible? I wouldn't call it that..."

Intentional, though? He denies nothing.

"...I guess I'll wait 'ere until yer well out of mistletoe range."

He grins. He's actually enjoying Akio's company. He hasn't had new friends in a very long time.

"You can if you like, but if you do that for everyone, it takes the fun out of it, wouldn't you agree?"

He's actually feeling much the same himself, funnily enough.

...Looks like that one's secure. He starts making his way down the ladder.

"Fun outta kissin' random strangers? Is there such a thing?" He's still grinning, leaning against the wall as he watches. "Sides, ya prolly wouldn't wanna kiss me anyway. I haven't owned a toothbrush in two years." It just isn't priority when one was running for their lives, and Kazuha's breath was just as terrible as his in the mornings, so neither of them could complain about the other.

"So far, most of the people here seem to know each other somehow, even if we're from different worlds. So I doubt it would be a 'random stranger'."

But he doesn't make any move to do anything once he's off the ladder - only to fold it down and start moving to the next spot, leaving the box of mistletoe sprigs where they are until he can go back to get them.
