[pushing himself to his feet despite injuries and hobbling forward in an attempt to snatch away his jacket]

[And immediately brings up a foot to push him back down and manages to keep her balance pretty well as she looks over the stitching.]

Ya should be restin', ahou, with those kinds of injuries.

'Sides, at least here I don't have ta charge ya ta do thin's for ya.

[aaand he teeters back and slumps into the chair with a scowl]

You don't even know what kind they are. They could be scratches. In fact, they are scratches. Don't even hurt.

[holding his hands out again :T] I need to learn, anyway.

[Gives him a look.] Don't make me poke them. Seriously, if ya tempt me, I will. [It was...an honest warning, actually.]

[And she sits down beside him.] Then I'll help. Jinx helped me learn make up before, even if it was technically a mission that I paid him for.

Uh huh. [is either confident she won't do it, or confident in his ability to withstand pokings. one of the two. but he is side-eyeing her as she sits down]

What kinda girl just takes someone else's patchwork without asking? Geez...

[When one does not have impulse control and a tendency to tsun and be big sisterly, it would be a poor bet on the former.]

[And there is a sheepish look for a moment before she shrugs.] Sewing is a girly thing I did actually remember, even if it's a little bit. And I'm grateful ta Jinx and Kaito. The first time I was here, a Kaito-kun helped me. And Jinx has been teachin' me how ta hide the scars.

[still side-eyeing her, but no longer grasping for his jacket, focusing on the way she stitches instead]

'M not Jinx. Or Kaito, technically. You don't really owe me anything.

Let's not go into the hassle of identities. If nothin' else, ya also have that extra one and really, goin' inta who is or isn't someone will just get confusin'.

What name do ya go by anyway?

Fact is, I decided long ago I was goin' ta do everyhin' in my power ta help those from my world, regardless if I knew them or not. I ain't changin' that here just because I don't have the Judges breathing down my neck.

[Aaaaall the sewing lessons. And yes, she's weird.]

The nickname I had was Teal. Though I found out I was Kazuha pretty quick, since Heiji had been around a while.

Qu-Conan-kun, Hakuba-san, and you are also there too. Hakuba-san is more closely tied ta ya than the others, so ya might not remember them dependin' how much ya got from home. [Is assuming you're in a place like Sabra La Tau.]

[assuming correctly! quirking an eyebrow at her-- or rather, the needlework, since he's watching that intently]

Who's Hakuba? I remember the short kid-- there are probably five different versions of him running around this place-- but no one named Hakuba.

Hakuba Saguru. Part British, brownish blonde hair, brown eyes. Pretty tall. He's a detective. Aside from you and me, they're ALL detectives. He's very...meticulous. And is involved in why ya would have a wish and that other identity of yers.

The short kid would be Conan-kun. Looks like yer younger brother with glasses. Heiji is pretty tall too, very dark tan, green eyes, dark hair. Stronger accent than me.

[oh no information overload]

It's always detectives, huh. I know Conan's name. 'S kinda hard to miss it in what I've remembered about him. I've met Heiji, too, though only while I've been stuck here. Haven't remembered anything about her yet.

[. . . yes. 'her.']

[Blinks.] Her? Who?

Heiji. The one you were just talking about. She came here with some pretty good soup.

Okay, I've been a pony and a Pokemon, I'm just gonna take yer word for it that Heiji was a girl for whatever reason.

He's a boy normally.

[s-snort] This is why it's a bad idea to try to fill in the blanks with supposedly familiar people who may come from places completely different than your own.

[not that he really has room to talk since doing so was one of the first things he tried upon arrival]

I-yes. Well, maybe. Bad for us. We have too many blanks in our memory, it makes it hard ta compare thin's.

There's a Conan here who told me I was his best friend when I first arrived, and another who said he barely knew me at all. I met a guy named Ran on my very first day, only to remember later that Ran is supposed to be a girl where I come from.

'S really weird here. But it has running water and free food, so who'm I to complain? [also reaching for the jacket again] Lemme try, I think I've got it now.

[Boy Ran.] Yeah....Ran is a girl in my memories too.

Jinx and Quartz get along well. [Pause.] Actually, I think he gets along with everyone. He was the first ta figure out we were all from the same place. I assumed everyone knew for a while and found out they didn't.

But it's like...I dunno, it feels like he's in the center of a bunch of stuff, even with yer stuff bein' separated from our stuff.

[blink] 'Stuff?'

The doom stuff that got FIVE people from home in an amnesia murdercave. That is all somehow a big secret.

Haa... the 'stuff' I don't remember yet but keep hearing second-hand from everyone here.

[I have scars from raptors and I'm in the relatively SAFE position. Also, did give you your jacket when you asked.]

[And pats your shoulder.] Yer not the only one. I'm pretty sure Kazuha didn't actually know what was goin' on.

Though it's kind of obvious now. Conan-kun is a freakish child and Heiji is obviously hidin' somethin', I just didn't think about it at the time.

[he has heard stories and has silently agreed not to pry anymore. and now he is stitching up his jacket again, marginally better than last time! very marginally]

'S kinda hard to miss that there's something off about Conan. Pretty smart for his age, isn't he?
